ISS has conducted training for over 5000 persons in the government, private and non-profit sector within and outside Pakistan (see Clientele) at ISS premises and locations within and outside Pakistan.  ISS offers over 60 different training modules in the fields of development, education and management in English and Urdu.  These programmes help participants to improve a wide range of skills, including leadership and management, motivation and supervision, strategic thinking, problem solving and creativity, decision making, time management, communication and negotiation, conflict resolution and team building, presentation and report writing skills, memory and reading speed.  Educational programmes help teachers to improve their subject teaching, classroom management, and instructional skills.  Development programmes build social mobilization and participatory appraisal, planning, management, monitoring and evaluation skills (see Training Modules).  Programmes are delivered through a mix of techniques, including lectures, personal and organisational assessments, case studies, role-plays, simulations, supported with reading materials.  Training programmes are also designed based on assessment of training needs of organisations.
