MISSION AND GOALS
The
Institute of Social Sciences (established 1978) is involved in culturally
appropriate and sustainable human resource development with a focus on
education, management and participatory development. ISS develops
personal, interpersonal, group and organisational skills in all segments
of society, especially persons with outreach and influence, such as teachers,
development workers, leaders, managers, and trainers, in the government,
private, and nonprofit sector. These objectives are achieved through
action and policy research, process consultation, planning meetings, policy
formulation, monitoring and evaluation studies, training, material development,
information dissemination, and networking.
